Cacao power!

by

Engineers in New Hampshire, USA have successfully tested a mix of coal & cacao bean shells as a new fuel for one it’s electricity-generating boilers. The shells used in the experiment are a waste product from a nearby chocolate manufacturer, which presently imports its cacao mass from Europe but plans to process its own beans in 2010. Therefore the bean shells, which would normally be sent to the landfill, will be sent to the electricity plant instead.
